Amherst Women's Soccer 2000 Milestones
Team Accomplishments:
1) Finished 11-5-2 overall, 5-3-1 in NESCAC play
2) 2000 ECAC Champions (first time in school history)
3) Little Three Champions
4) Posted a win in final game for the first time since 1984
5) Qualified for NESCAC Tournament, lost 1-0 to Williams in quarterfinal

Individual Accomplishments:
1) Junior forward Cathy Poor (Harwich Port, MA):
*First-Team All-NESCAC
*First-Team NSCAA All-England Region
*NESCAC All-Academic
*Sixth leading scorer in the NESCAC
* Led the Jeffs in scoring for the third straight season with a school-record 11 goals, including three multiple-goal games, despite playing just 13 games due to injury
*Second career hat-trick in the Jeffs' 4-0 win over Smith College on Sept. 13.
*Added both goals, including the 90th-minute equalizer, in the Jeffs' 3-2 overtime loss to Clark University
*Netted her first career overtime goal, capping her third multiple-goal game of the year, in the Jeffs' 2-1 victory at Wesleyan University that clinched the Little III title for Amherst
*Just the third player in Amherst history with 25 career goals

2) Senior Meg Riley (Wellesley, MA/Milton Academy):
*Second-Team All-NESCAC
*Second-Team NSCAA All-England Region
*NESCAC All-Academic

3) Junior midfielder Hallison Putnam (Lexington, KY):
*NESCAC Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 16 after scoring the lone goal in a pair of 1-0 victories over Eastern Connecticut State and Williams College *ECAC Tournament MVP

4) Sophomore goalkeeper Brooke Diamond (Longmeadow, MA):
*Third among NESCAC goaltenders, allowing just 13 goals in 18 games (0.69 GAA)
