Head Coach Michelle Morgan
Coach Morgan has been the head women's soccer coach at Amherst College for the past twenty-one years. Under her direction, the Jeffs have won eight little three titles, three NIAC tournament bids, four ECAC tournament bids, and five successive NCAA championship bids.
Morgan has held many positions on national committees over the years including chair of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship Committee, member of the NCAA Soccer Rules Committee, and numerous positions in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association and was the first female president of the Intercollegiate Soccer Association of America.
Morgan has received much recognition for her service to soccer by the New England Soccer Coaches Association, the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association, and was awarded a Letter of Commendation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in 1994. In addition, she has been twice named the New England Regional Coach and received the Lanzera National Coach of the Year Award in 1996.
In addtion to her soccer responsibilities, Morgan is the Head Women's Golf Coach and is a member of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship Committee. She has also coached women's basketball, squash, and lacrosse, during her twenty-one year tenure at Amherst. Outside her life at the college she assumes the responsibility as mother of three children.
