Amherst Men's Tennis 2001 Milestones
Team Accomplishments:
1) Finished with an 11-6 overall record despite a roster devoid of any seniors.

2) Ranked 18th in the nation and fifth in the Northeast according to the final WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings administered by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

3) Placed fourth at the NESCAC Championship Tournament and earned a birth in the NCAA Northeast Regional at Williams College (the Jeffs fell to Bowdoin, 4-3, in the first round).

4) Won the ECAC North Men's Tennis Championship at Vassar College during the fall, capturing three individual singles titles and advancing to the finals of two others along the way.


Individual Accomplishments:
1) Junior Bryan Wexler (West Newbury, MA)
*Tabbed First Team All-NESCAC after advancing to the semifinals of the NESCAC Championship Tournament (fell to Trinity's Rusty Orach, 6-0, 6-0).
*Finished the season as the 33rd ranked Division III singles player in the nation and ninth in the Northeast according to the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.

2) Sophomore Brian Chin (Dobbs Ferry, NY)
*Finished the season as the 29th ranked Division III singles player in the Northeast according to the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
