Amherst Women Win ECAC Title

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - For the second weekend in a row, the Amherst College women’s cross country team took home the hardware at a conference championship. Following last weekend’s NESCAC Championship, the Lord Jeffs were crowned the ECAC Champions this weekend winning with a score of 31, while the Amherst men’s side finished in third place with 126 points.
The women’s top performer was Katie Moravec (Chico, CA) who finished in second place overall. Joining Moravec in the top dozen runners, and earning All ECAC Honors were teammates Rachel Cameron (Grand Rapids, MI) [5th], Laura Mortimer (Jackson, MS) [8th], Caitlin McDermott-Murphy (Newton, MA) [10th], and Nicole Anderson (Kailua, HI) [12th].
The men finished 3rd with 126 points - Carlyle Eubank (Santa Ynez, CA) [8th] and Robert Boley (Mount Pleasant, MI) [13th] earned All ECAC honors, while Eric Holaday (Moorestown, PA), John Babbott (Ojai, CA) and Peter Foote (Shelbourne, VT) rounded out the scoring five.
