Amherst's Kehoe Named NESCAC Offensive Player of the Week

AMHERST, MA – Amherst College senior quarterback Nick Kehoe (Washington Depot, CT) was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Jeffs to a 38-3 victory over conference rival Colby College.
Kehoe finished the day with a career-high 330 yards passing, completing 21-of-31 attempts with three touchdowns and no interceptions, including a 46-yard touchdown bomb. Kehoe’s first touchdown of the day came with just 41 seconds remaining in the first half and gave Amherst a 10-3 lead heading into the locker room. Kehoe wasted no time in the second half, connecting for a 27-yard touchdown pass just 1:25 into the third quarter to give the Jeffs a 17-3 lead. Leading 24-3 in the fourth quarter, Kehoe added his third and final touchdown on a 46-yard touchdown pass with 11:46 remaining in the game.
Kehoe currently leads the NESCAC in average passing yards-per-game with 234.2, is second in total offensive yards-per-game with 226.0, and is third in passing efficiency at 139.2.
Kehoe returns to the field this Saturday where he will look to lead the Jeffs to a NESCAC victory on the road at Wesleyan University. The game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
