2005 Amherst Volleyball Milestones

TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Finished the season with a 17-11 overall record (6-4 in conference play).
  • Wrapped up the regular season in a five-way tie for third place in the conference standings and given the No. 7 seed in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament - their 13th straight postseason appearance - where they fell to second-seeded Tufts 3-0 in the tournament quarterfinals.
  • Led the NESCAC in blocks (2.57 bpg) and finished fourth in hitting percentage (.217) andkills per game (13.58).

  • Earned All-Tournament honors at the Wesleyan Invitational.

    Junior Outside Hitter Kristin Quinn (Los Angeles, CA)
  • Second-Team All-NESCAC.
  • Earned All-Tournament honors at the Wesleyan Invitational.
  • Finished 35th in the nation and second in the NESCAC in hitting percentage (.365) and seventh in the NESCAC in kills per game (3.13).

    Junior Defensive Specialist Laura Golden (Boca Raton, FL)
  • Academic All-NESCAC.

    Sophomore Outside Hitter Jaclyn DeMais (Hillsdale, NJ)
