AMHERST, MA - Amherst College junior Kristin Quinn (Pacific Palisades, CA) and sophomore Jaclyn DeMais (Hillsdale, NJ) were named to the 2005 NESCAC Volleyball All-Conference Team on Wednesday, earning second-team plaudits as voted by the NESCAC team coaches.

Quinn posts all-conference honors for the second straight season after claiming NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors in her rookie campaign. She finished second in the conference in hitting percentage (.365) and seventh in kills per game (3.13). Quinn also led the team in blocks (82), finished second in kills (332) and fourth in service aces (25).

DeMais had a breakout season for the Jeffs, finishing fifth in the NESCAC with 3.57 kills per game. She paced the Jeffs in kills (368), digs (321) and service aces (48) and ranked third on the team in blocks (62). DeMais was on fire down the stretch, breaking career-highs with a 25-kill, 20-dig performance in a 3-2 win over archrival Williams, and a 27-kill, 24-dig showing in a 3-2 win at Trinity.

The Jeffs tied for third-place in the final conference standings at 17-11 overall and 6-4 in NESCAC play, but were awarded the No. 7 seed in the NESCAC Postseason Tournament by way of tiebreaker.
