Junior striker Mike Wohl notched the lone goal for the Jeffs on Saturday.

October 29, 2005
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - Seventh-ranked Williams College found the net with just 8.5 seconds remaining in regulation to deal the visiting Amherst College men's soccer team a 2-1 regular-season conference loss on Saturday afternoon. The Jeffs fell to 7-4-3 (4-3-2 NESCAC) on the season, but secured the No. 4 seed and a first-round home game in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament.
Amherst opened the scoring as junior forward Mike Wohl (Northampton, MA) continued his late-season scoring surge, hammering home a header off a cross from Ryan O'Donnell (Belchertown, MA). The Ephs responded just a minute later when Patrick Huffer (Boulder, CO) converted a penalty kick to knot the game at 1-1 heading into the break.
The second stanza was marked by nearly 45 minutes of scoreless play before Kit Fuderich (Founex, Switzerland) found the back of the net in the waning seconds of regulation to clinch the victory for the Ephs, who closed out their regular-season slate at 13-1 (9-0 NESCAC).
Amherst is set to face fifth-seeded Bates College tomorrow (Sunday) at 12:30 p.m. in the opening round of the NESCAC Tournament, with a trip to next weekend's semifinals at top-seeded Williams at stake.
