Jeffs Topped by 13th-Ranked Bowdoin, 2-0

AMHERST, MA - The Amherst College field hockey team fell to visiting 13th-ranked NESCAC rival Bowdoin College on Saturday, 2-0. The Jeffs fall to 4-3 (2-2 NESCAC) on the season, while the Polar Bears improve to 6-0 (3-0 NESCAC).

After a scoreless first half, junior midfielder Burgess LePage (Cumberland, ME) and rookie forward Lindsay McNamara (Milton, MA) notched goals for Bowdoin in the second stanza. Sophomore goaltender Kathleen Boucher (Washington, DC) posted nine saves for Amherst in a losing effort.

The Jeffs return to action Thursday at 4:30 p.m. against visiting non-conference foe Western New England College.
