Head Coach Erik Nedeau

Entering his 10th season, head coach Erik Nedeau has molded the men's and women's cross country and track programs into perennial regional and national contenders, while consistently coaching Amherst runners to personal records and higher levels of achievement. Since taking the reigns in 1995, Nedeau has coached a trio of NCAA Champions, 55 All-America performances, two Junior National medalists, and numerous New England, NESCAC and ECAC Champions.

Nedeau utilizes a unique blend of knowledge and experience to push his programs to new heights. In addition to coaching, "Ned" has established himself as one of the top middle distance runners in the nation, earning a bronze medal in the World Championships in 1995 and, most recently, competing at the 2004 Olympic Trials. He was also a five-time All-American at Division I Northeastern University and was recently inducted into Northeastern's Athletic Hall of Fame. Nedeau and his wife, the former Amy Lyman, were married in the summer of 2003.
