Amherst Named NFHCA National Academic Team, Places 18 on National Academic Squad
March 8 - The Amherst field hockey team earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Team honors, recognizing collegiate programs with a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher. Eighteen of the 25 players on the team, including senior co-captains Emma Feinstein and Alicia Pichard, were named to the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad as well. Full Story

Amherst Places Three on STX/NFHCA Division III All-New England West Region Team
November 22 - Amherst junior Katherine Skrivan and seniors Alicia Pichard and Erin Leydon were each named to the 2004 STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-New England West Region Team on Monday. Skrivan was a first-team selection while Pichard and Leydon earned second-team honors. Full Story

Skrivan Named Field Hockey All-NESCAC
November 11 - Amherst junior forward Katherine Skrivan was named to the 2004 NESCAC Field Hockey All-Conference Team on Wednesday. A second-team selection, Skrivan posted a team-best 18 points on six goals and six assists this season. Full Story

Jeffs End Season with 2-1 Overtime Loss to 15th-Ranked Williams
October 30 - The Amherst field hockey team ended its season with a 2-1 overtime loss to visiting NESCAC and Little Three rival Williams College on Saturday. The Jeffs conclude their season at 5-8 (3-6 NESCAC), narrowly missing out on a berth in the seven-team NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament. Full Story

Jeffs Snap Losing Streak with 1-0 Overtime Win at Conn. College
October 24 - The Amherst field hockey team snapped a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 overtime victory at NESCAC opponent Connecticut College on Sunday. Junior Katherine Skrivan scored her second goal of the weekend and sixth of the season with just 4:02 remaining in the extra session as the Jeffs improved to 5-7 overall and 3-5 in conference play. Jeffs Suffer 4-2 Defeat at Wesleyan
October 23 - Despite second-half scores from junior Katherine Skrivan and sophomore Rachel Carr-Harris, the Amherst field hockey team suffered its fifth straight loss, a 4-2 decision at NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan University on Saturday. The Cardinals improve to 10-2 overall and 5-2 in conference play, while the Jeffs fell to 4-7 (2-5 NESCAC). Full Story

Jeffs Fall 1-0 to Visiting Colby
October 16 - The Amherst field hockey team fell to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in conference play with a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to visiting Colby College (6-5/2-5 NESCAC) on Saturday. Colby sophomore Christine Maloney scored the game-winner 7:46 into the opening period off a feed from senior Adrienne LeClair, handing the Jeffs their fourth consecutive loss. Full Story

Jeffs Suffer 2-1 Overtime Loss to Babson
October 14 - The Amherst field hockey team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to visiting non-conference opponent Babson College on Thursday. Junior Katherine Skrivan scored the lone Amherst goal as the Jeffs dropped their third straight and fell to 4-5. Full Story

Jeffs Stymied at No. 4 Middlebury, 4-0
October 9 - The Amherst field hockey team was shut out at fourth-ranked NESCAC rival Middlebury College on Saturday, 4-0. The undefeated Panthers tallied three first-half goals en route to their ninth win of the season and sixth in conference play, while the Jeffs suffered their second consecutive loss and fell to 4-4 and 2-3.
