NESCAC Champs Rilla, Babkes Fall in First Round of NCAA Doubles Play

LEWISTON, ME - Amherst College sophomores Josh Rilla (Westboro, MA) and Danny Babkes (Baltimore, MD) bowed out in the first round of the NCAA Division III Menís Tennis Doubles Championships at Bates College on Saturday, falling 6-4, 6-1 to Emory Universityís Mark Odgers and Alex Jacobs.

Rilla and Babkes, who claimed the NESCAC Doubles Championship earlier this spring, were making their first appearance in individual national championship play, while Odgers and Jacobs, the No. 2 ranked doubles team in the nation, advanced to the national semifinals in last yearís doubles championships.
