Jeffs Steamroll Wesleyan, 4-0
October 19 - After downing Colby College earlier in the week, the women's soccer team steamrolled NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan University, 4-0, earning its third straight victory on Saturday. Sophomore midfielder Adrienne Showler paced the Jeffs with a trio of goals. Full Story

Jeffs Down Colby, 3-1
October 12 - The women's soccer team fought through treacherous weather conditions and downed visiting NESCAC foe Colby College, 3-1, Saturday at Hitchcock Field. With the victory, the Jeffs improved to 6-4 overall and 4-2 in conference play while the White Mules dropped to 4-6 and 1-5. Full Story

Women's Soccer Rallies to Upend Middlebury, 3-2
October 5 - After trailing 2-1 with less than 30 minutes remaining, the women's soccer team rallied to down host Middlebury College, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore midfielder Ashley Harmeling paced the Jeffs with a pair of goals, including the game-winner. Full Story

Women's Soccer Falls at Fifth-Ranked Wheaton, 5-1
October 2 - In a rematch of last season's NCAA New England Regional semifinal, junior Tracy Prihoda registerd her eighth career hat trick as the Wheaton College women's soccer team cruised past visiting Amherst, 5-1, on Wednesday. Sophomore Lee-Jay Henry scored the lone goal for Amherst. Full Story

Jeffs Downed by Bowdoin, 3-0
September 28 - After notching a pair of shutout victories over Bates and Springfield the women's soccer team was downed at Bowdoin College, 3-0, on Saturday. With the loss, the Jeffs fall to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play while the Polar Bears remain undefeated and improve to 6-0-1 and 2-0. Full Story

Henry Notches Second Straight Game-Winner as Jeffs Edge Springfield, 1-0
September 26 - Sophomore sharpshooter Lee-Jay Henry scored the lone goal in the 34th minute - her second straight game-winner - to lift the Amherst women's soccer team to a 1-0 rain-soaked victory at non-league foe Springfield College on Thursday afternoon. Fellow sophomore Adrienne Showler assisted on the game-winner, as the Jeffs improved to 4-2 on the season. Full Story

Women's Soccer Rebounds to Down Bates, 1-0
September 21 - After suffering a pair of heartbreaking shutout losses to Tufts University and Eastern Connecticut State University the women's soccer team rebounded to blank visiting NESCAC foe Bates College, 1-0, Saturday at Hitchcock Field. Sophomore striker Lee-Jay Henry notched the game-winning goal with less than five minutes remaining in the contest. Full Story

Women's Soccer Drops Heartbreaker to Eastern Connecticut, 1-0
September 18 - After suffering a stunning upset loss to NESCAC foe Tufts University on Saturday the women's soccer team dropped another heartbreaker to visiting non-league foe Eastern Connecticut State University on Wednesday. Sophomore phenom Jen Ferrari notched the game winning goal 8:32 into overtime to set the final score at 1-0. Full Story

Second-Ranked Women's Soccer Upset by Tufts, 1-0
September 14 - After downing non-league foe Smith College, 2-0, on Thursday the Amherst women's soccer team - ranked second in the latest NSCAA/Adidas National Poll - returned to Hitchcock Field on Saturday and fell to visiting NESCAC foe Tufts University, 1-0. Full Story

Morgan Wins 200th as Women's Soccer Blanks Smith, 2-0
September 12 - Amherst women's soccer Head Coach Michelle Morgan notched her 200th career victory as the Jeffs downed visiting non-league foe Smith College, 2-0, Thursday afternoon at Hitchcock Field. With the victory, Amherst improves to 2-0 overall while the Pioneers drop to 2-1. Full Story

Women's Soccer Opens Season with 2-0 Victory Over Conn. College
September 8 - The defending NESCAC Champion and NCAA Division III runner-up women's soccer team opened its 2002 season with a 2-0 win over visiting NESCAC rival Connecticut College on Sunday. Sophomore midfielders Adrienne Showler and Ashley Harmeling each found the back of the net in the second half for Amherst, while senior co-captain goalie Brooke Diamond posted seven saves en route to her 25th career shutout. Women's Soccer Set for Another Title Run
August 8 - After falling just one victory shy of winning its first-ever NCAA Championship and posting a school-record 16 wins and a No. 2 national ranking in 2001, the women's soccer team has a tough act to follow this fall. Fortunately, the Jeffs will once again be strong with senior co-captains Katharine Shipley and Brooke Diamond returning on defense and the offense returning three of its top four scorers.
