FROM A TRINITY COLLEGE RELEASE

HARTFORD, CT - The Amherst College women's soccer team earned the No. 4 seed in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament after playing to a 1-1 tie at conference rival Trinity College on Saturday. Reading, MA), who notched her team-leading eighth goal of the season.

Amherst senior goalie Brooke Diamond (Longmeadow, MA) finished the afternoon with five saves while Trinity netminder Brenna Shields recorded 11. With the tie, the Jeffs finish the regular season at 8-4-2 overall and 5-2-2 in conference play while Trinity ends at 7-5-2 and 3-4-2.
