Stanton-Geddes, Hamill Pace Jeffs at Little Three Championships

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Amherst women's cross country team ran through a chilly drizzle on Saturday to take second place behind host Williams College at the Little Three Championship Meet on Saturday, and the Jeff men countered with a third-place performance, behind first-place Williams and second-place Wesleyan University.

Amherst junior John Stanton-Geddes (Glendale, MO) paced the men's delegation with a fifth-place, 27:09 showing. Sophomore Matthew Katz (Tallahassee, FL) followed with a 27:43 afternoon, good for 10th place. Senior co-captain Carson Taylor (S. Windsor, CT) added a 13th-place, 27:56 mark, and sophomore Jack Morgan (Las Vegas, NV) contributed a 15th-place 28:01 showing. Sophomore Zeke Phillips (Newton, MA) legged out a 17th place, 28:11 time to round out the top Amherst finishers.

Meanwhile, All-American sophomore Carter Hamill (Richmond, VA) led the Amherst women with a fourth-place, 18:58 showing. Junior Erinn White (Watertown, NY) trailed Hamill, notching a 10th-place finish in 20:02. Junior Helen Dole (Shelburne Falls, MA) was right on White's heels she added a 12th-place, 20:09 time to Amherst's credit. Senior co-captain Hilary Plum (Storrs, CT) turned in a 13th-place, 20:22 day, and senior co-captain Alison Dimon (Rye, NY) crossed the tape with a 17th-place, 20:39 performance.

On Saturday, Amherst will travel to Tufts University for the NESCAC Championship meet.
