Jeffs Blank Brandeis in Fall Finale
October 1 - The Amherst men's tennis team completed its fall slate with a 3-0 record, capped by Tuesday afternoon's 7-0 victory over visiting Brandeis University. The Jeffs swept all six singles matches and two out of three doubles tilts en route to the win, dropping Brandeis' fall record to 0-2. Full Story

Jeffs Compete at Omni/ITA New England Championships
October 1 - The Amherst men's tennis team traveled to M.I.T. for the New England Division III Omni Hotels/ITA Men's Tennis Championships over the weekend. Encountering a stellar field, the Jeffs more than held their own in the singles matches, but struggled in the doubles draw. Full Story

Men's Tennis Upends Division I Hartford, 4-3
September 25 - The men's tennis team dropped all three doubles matches but won four out of six singles matches en route to a narrow 4-3 victory over visiting Division I rival University of Hartford on Wednesday. Senior co-captain Andy Tsai, sophomores Arpan Podduturi and Max Rettig and first-year Josh Rilla each posted singles victories for the Jeffs, who improved to 2-0 with the win. Full Story

Jeffs Third at ECAC North Championships
September 22 - First-year Danny Babkes fought past Middlebury College All-American Justin Ingoglia for a win in the semifinal round of the No. 1 singles bracket at this weekend's ECAC North Men's Tennis Championship Tournament at Vassar College. Babkes' 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 showing over Ingoglia catapulted him into the championship match, where he fell to NYU's Demetrius Leontis 6-2, 6-3. Amherst finished third overall, behind champion Middlebury and runner-up NYU. Full Story

Jeffs Blank Colby 7-0 in Season Opener
September 14 - The Amherst men's tennis team shut out visiting NESCAC foe Colby College in their season-opener on Saturday. With the victory the Jeffs move to 1-0 on the year while the White Mules drop to 0-1. Amherst sophomore Arpan Podduturi led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Colby's Kevin Yardi. Full Story

Seniors, Newcomers Look to Bolster Men's Tennis in 2002-03
September 12 - Behind seniors Brian Chin, Andy Tsai, Adam Liebsohn, Andy Sagor and a crop of first-years head coach Peter Robson describes as " outstanding incoming class," the men's tennis team looks to build on last season's No. 7 standing in the final ITA New England Rankings. Full Story
