Wexler, Holt Earn ITA Postseason Accolades
May 23 - Amherst College women's tennis first-year Rachel Holt and men's tennis senior Bryan Wexler were both honored by the ITA this week. Holt, who helped lead the Jeffs to their fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals this spring, was named the ITA Northeast Region and National Rookie of the Year, while Wexler earned the ITA Northeast Region Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship. Jeffs Seventh at NESCAC Championship
April 28 - The top-ranked Williams College men's tennis team took home their 10th consecutive NESCAC Championship title with 31 points on Sunday. Bowdoin College was the runner-up, finishing with 22 points while Middlebury College placed third with 19.5 points. Full Story
Jeffs Roll Past M.I.T.
April 24 -The Amherst College men's tennis team downed visiting M.I.T., 6-1, on Wednesday afternoon. With the victory, the Jeffs improve to 4-7 as they get set to enter this weekend's NESCAC Championship. Full Story
Amherst Set to Host 2002 NESCAC Championship
April 24 - Amherst will host the 2002 NESCAC Men's Tennis Championship Friday, April 26-Sunday, April 28. Williams, which captured the NCAA Division III men's title last year, will be seeking its 10th consecutive conference title. Full Story
Jeffs Downed at Bowdoin, 8-1
April 21 -The Amherst men's tennis team fell to conference rival Bowdoin College on Sunday, dropping the Jeffs record to 3-7. The Polar Bears outmatched the host Jeffs to take the win, 8-1. The lone bright spot on the day was a 9-7 nailbiter win at #2 doubles from junior Andy Tsai and senior co-captain Peter Ransmeier. Full Story
Jeffs Fall at Middlebury, 5-2
April 20 - The Amherst College men's tennis team fell at 14th-ranked Middlebury College, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Jeffs drop to 3-6 overall while the Panthers improve to 11-3. Full Story
Jeffs Snap Three-Match Losing Skid with 6-1 Win Over Conn.
April 17 - The Amherst men's tennis team snapped a three-match losing skid with a 6-1 win over visiting Connecticut College on Wednesday. The Jeffs (3-5) won five of the afternoon's six singles matches and swept the doubles, dropping just two sets on the afternoon. Full Story
