No. 19 Jeffs Blanked at Top-Ranked Williams
April 13 - The Amherst men's tennis team dropped its third straight match on Saturday, falling at NESCAC-rival Williams College the top-ranked team in the nation 7-0, on Saturday. Senior co-captain George Tsai was the only Amherst player to steal a set from the Ephs before falling to Williams' Daniel Murray, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0. Full Story

Jeffs Stumble at Tufts, 4-3
April 8 - Despite singles wins by junior Adam Leibsohn, first-year Will Abbott, and sophomore Andrew Merle, the Amherst men's tennis team posted its second straight loss to a NESCAC foe on Monday, falling at Tufts University 4-3. Full Story

Men's Tennis Posts First Spring Loss, 4-3, at Trinity
April 7 - After winning its spring-opener against visiting Wesleyan University on Friday, the Amherst men's tennis team fell at Trinity College, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon. Senior Bryan Wexler, first-year Will Abbott and sophomore Andrew Merle each posted singles wins for the Jeffs, who dropped to 2-3 with the loss. Full Story

19th-Ranked Jeffs Open Spring Slate with 5-2 Win Over Wesleyan
April 5 - The Amherst men's tennis team 19th in the nation according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings opened its 2002 spring slate with a 5-2 win over visiting NESCAC rival Wesleyan University on Friday. Although Wesleyan claimed the doubles point, the Jeffs won five of the afternoon's six singles matches en route to the victory. Full Story

Men's Tennis Falls at UMass, 5-2
October 10 - In its final match of the fall on Wednesday afternoon, the Amherst men's tennis team fell at Division I cross-town rival UMass-Amherst, 5-2, despite a pair of singles wins by junior Andy Tsai and sophomore Andrew Merle. Amherst ended its fall slate at 1-2, after a season-opening 4-3 loss at the University of Hartford and a 6-1 win at Brandeis University. Full Story

Men's Tennis Routs Brandeis, 6-1
October 2 - The Amherst College men's tennis team took five out of six singles matches and posted a pair of doubles wins to trounce host Brandeis University, 6-1, on Tuesday. Amherst senior Bryan Wexler led the way with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Brandeis' Dave Block in No. 1 singles. Full Story

Men's Tennis Gets Mixed Results at Rolex Championship
September 30 - The Amherst College men's tennis team competed at the Rolex New England Division III Championships over the weekend with mixed results in the singles and doubles pairings. Full Story

Men's Tennis Falls To Hartford in Season Opener, 4-3
September 20 - The Amherst College men's tennis team won half its singles matches but was swept in doubles in losing its season-opener at the University of Hartford on Wednesday, 4-3. Full Story

2001-02 Men's Tennis Season Preview
September 12 - Amherst returns all of its players in an attempt to return to the NCAA tournament for the 11th time in 12 seasons. With an 11-6 record in the spring of 2001, the Jeffs earned experience should prove invaluable in the upccoming season. Senior Bryan Wexler and junior Brian Chin return as a one-two combination atop the singles flight, while Adam Leibshon, Dave Wellner, Andy Tsai and Rob Feeley round out the remaining key contributors.
