Amherst Defeats Trinity, 6-1

AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Amherst swept all six flights of singles in a 6-1 win over NESCAC foe Trinity. The Bantams claimed close wins at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles as the teams of Tim Stringer (Bay Shore, NY)-Preston Quick (Lakewood, CO) and Alex Valente (New York, NY)-Phil Warner (New York, NY) posted 9-8 victories over Bruce Jacobs (Pittsburgh, PA)-Ed Rosenfeld (Louisville, KY) and Yo Kobayashi (Palo Alto, CA)-Noah Lippe-Klein (Palo Alto, CA).

The Jeffs better their record to 8-3 while Trinity falls to 7-2. Amherst travels to Wesleyan on Saturday while the Bantams head to Wheaton.
