Women's Soccer Tramples Nichols

Just days after she was named the NESCAC Player of the Week, Shaunette Richards '98 proved why she deserved this honor. Taking credit for two goals and an assist against Nichols College, Richards takes over as the team's leading scorer with seven goals and three assists in eleven games.

Amherst turned up the pressure in the second half where they scored four of their six goals. The always lethal tandem of Richards and Katie Hersey '99 led off the period with a give and go into the net to give the Jeffs a 3-0 lead. The duo has combined for three of the team's 30 goals, including the equalizer against arch-rival Williams and the game winner against Wheaton.

Katie Connelly '00 registered her sixth goal of her rookie season before turning in her field clothes for keeper's gloves. She also had two saves against the Lady Bison.
