Why you chose Amherst: Aside from Amherst reputation (it speaks for itself), I really felt this was a learning community, not just a stepping stone to grad school or a great career, although it does serve that function as well. Saying that, I know from my short time here that people genuinely care about their education, not just the fruits of their success. Also, I was told that Ned is a dancing machine. So much so that he regularly instructs the thin lanky men of the cross country team in the tango, flamenco, and even some hip hop (he can spin on his head for 5 minutes). We are all cerfiably cooler because of him. Oh, and he runs faster than you could imagine.
