Why you chose Amherst:    I think the story went something like this... I was visiting for pre-frosh weekend, and basically the track team took me under their wings and made me comfortable and welcome. We went to Bart's and had great ice cream and great conversation... The next morning as I was walking across campus to leave, I looked out over the soccer fields and thought, "I'd be totally happy here for four years..."
