Williams - Cotton 10, Fitzhenry 22, Koima 26, Raduazo 40

Williams graduated 4 of top 7: Raduazo, Koima, Fitzhenry, and Springel. Colin Cotton ('15 last fall, 10th in NESCAC and Regional) is taking the fall semester away from Williams.Returning All-NESCAC Chris Lee '14 and Wade Davis '13, 8th man Brandon Abasolo '13 (NCAA qualifier steeplechase) plus top ECAC racers Scott Rodilitz '13, Max LaBerge '14, Henry Koster, Cole Townsend '15 and Aldis Inde '15. Top incoming '16 First Years will be Todd Ford (Glenview, Illinois) 4:12, Kyle Kistinger (Cincinnati) 4:19, Bijan Maziheri (Wellesley, MA) 9:29, Matt Tarduno (Rochester, NY) 9:32, and Nick Nosce (Los Angeles) 4:25. Almost all amongst these above continued to improve in track season, and the team will be as usual deep, hoping to have several guys catapult themselves to the top group of NESCAC and vie for All-American honors.

Middlebury - Schmidt 1, Miller 150

Top returning runners Jack Davies (14th Regionals), Patrick Hebble (29th), Kevin Wood (39th), Nate Sans (17th), and Greg Krathwohl (28th). Key additions include Wilder Schaaf, and a great incoming first year class of runners including Aaron Detoledo CA (4:19, 9:24, 15:20), Mark Perry MA (9:24), Luke Carpinello NY (1:56 / 4:23), Sam Cartwright CA (4:14) and Sebastian Matt OH (4:22 / 9:42 / 15:44). Key Losses are Regional Champion Michael Schmidt, Taylor Sundali and Sam Miller

Bowdoin - Hilliard 24, Ogilvie 43

Bates - Dilts 34, Chebot 42

We return 10 of our top 12 from last year and 5 of the top 7 from our 7th place NCAA finish.  Key returners All American Tully Hannan JR (27th NCAA, 24:39, 14:35), Noah Graboys JR (18th Regionals, DMR All American 4:08, 14:38 IT 11), Andrew Wortham SR (20th Reg, 50th NCAA, 24:57, NCAA Steeple Qualifier 9:03), Mike Martin JR  (90th NCAA, 25:12, 9:23 SC, 14:49 IT). Ken Whitney SR (25:27, 14:54, 31:42).  Others who will contend for a regional spot include, Eric Kimball SR (NCAA Alt in 11, 15:31/2:00), James LePage SR (DMR AA, 1:51/4:00/2:27, 26:31), Graham Pearsall SR (9:41 SC, 26:28), Christian Sampson SO (15:23/ 8:50 IT), John Stansel SO (1:55/2:30 1k, 26:36). Notable additions: First years TJ D'Amato MA, Gregg Heller WA, Bryant Perkins ME, Sam Reilly GA, Stephen Sipprelle NJ.   Transfer: Mark McCauley SO (Columbia) (1:51/2:26 1k, new to college XC).  We will have quality and depth, it may be hard for any of the newcommers to break into the top seven however there is a lot of talent and character there.  We expect to be better than last year.

Tufts - Rose 80

Returners - Matt Rand (3rd NE), Brian McLaughlin (30th), Kyle Marks (35th), Liam Cassidy (44th),  Andrew Shapero (63rd), Ben Wallis (71st), Sam Haney (7th ECAC), Jake McCauley (9th ECAC) and Additions - Tyler Andrews (30:22 10k), Darryl Varney (3:59 1500). With a strong core returning from last year's team that was 5th in NE, it will be a difficult year for any FR to break into the top 7.  Tyler Andrews (11th at NCAA 10k) adds another runner with National experience to the XC squad that wasn't there last fall.  Tufts returns 13 runners who ran sub 9:00 for the 3k last winter giving them added depth to the strength at the front (two sub 30:30 10k runners).  With so many dominant teams in the region this fall, this Tufts squad, that squeaked out of NE last year, will need to be in prime form to advance.

MIT - Harper 12, Serene 15, Erickson 89

We lost quite a bit with Dan Harper and Stephen Serene graduating.  We return Roy Wedge, Allen Leung, Ben Mattocks, Logan Trimble and Benji Xie.  Spencer Wenck returns from missing his freshman year due to injury. Key freshmen should be Patrick Juras, Matthew Deyo, Edgar Gridello and Ian Tolan.  If we are healthy we could be a top three team in New England Division III, but do not have a tremendous amount of depth.

Brandeis - Boutin 21, Brown 27

Amherst - Scheetz 68

Amherst will be returning all but their 5th scorer, and with a couple of guys back to full health, they have expectations for a successful campaign. Andrew Erskine 5th at regional 25:01 and (14:37 / 30:35) and NCAA Individual qualifier - should capitalize on his recent success and will certainly be one of the top runners in the region. Pat Grimes - 19th at Regionals (25:13) and 4:10 miler - showed that XC is not to long for him and will look to improve upon last year. A pair of sophomores who factored into the scoring last year, KC Fussell (25:30/ 15:04/ 31:25) and Greg Turissini (8;38 / 9:29 Steeple / 15:06) , improved throughout the year and should have an even bigger season while Senior captain Dillon Buckley (9:27 Steeple, 15:09) will provide not only leadership, but also continue to be a scoring factor and classmates Adron Pitmon and Eli Howe, both who have seen time in scoring roles will look to bolster the depth of the team.

Springfield - Fuller 33, Peabody 83, Birdsall 99

Wesleyan - Schneider 82

The 2012 men’s squad returns five of the top seven runners from the 2011 season.  The team’s top returners are seniors Bryan Marsh and Skyler Cummins.  Marsh is a two-time All Regional honoree, a two-time national qualifier, and earned All American honors in cross country during the 2011 season. Cummins is a two-time All Regional honoree who finished 16th in the region and fourth in last season’s NESCAC cross country championships.  On the track this spring, he ran 3:59.61 for the 1500 and 8:35.15 for the 3k. Fellow senior Austin Cotant, who was the team’s number three runner for much of last season, will look for his first All Region honor this year after finishing 48th in 2011.  A middle-distance specialist, Cotant finished the track season with PR’s of 3:57.00 in the 1500m and 4:15.14 in the mile.  Senior Sam Roth (79th @NE region/1:57.96 800/4:01.12 1500), junior Zak Malik (51st ECAC’s 2001, 15:57 5k) and sophomores Filmon Tekeste (16:01.67 5k/33:01.67 10k), Austin Barvin(36th ECAC’s 2011),Evan Beider (56th ECAC’s 2011) will add depth.

Keene State - Hoyt 9

Southern Maine - Gallo 25, Apkarian 88, Clement 91, Even 100

Along with the loss of All-New England & All-Maine performer John Vallo (25th @ Reg's) and All-Conference performer Tim Even (100th @ Reg's), due to other circumstances we have also lost Chris Apkarian (88th @ Reg's) & Jon Clement (91st @ Reg's).  Big losses for our team as we originally had 6 of our top 8 returning.  We'll have a good trio back with Ben Manning, Seth Neuts & Julian Gazzelloni.  Great opportunity for Dylan Lajoie, Briar Beede, Alex Luchini (back from knee injury), Andrew Fournier and a few others to step up.  2 good transfers in Andrew Snyder (former standout from Cheverus HS) & Brad Cuddeback (from Buffalo State) could make a strong impact also.  Nice freshmen class of All-ME performer's in  Chris Dunn (Kennebunk HS), Alex Beals (John Bapst HS) & River Vogel (George Stevens Acad.) will also have a chance to make a impact.  Potential to have a good team is here.

Conn College - Mavrovic 65, Wright 76, Gallant 130

The Camels, which finished 13th at regionals last year, lose three from their top 7 including Alex Mavrovic (65th at regionals; transferred) and graduated Doug Wright (76th) and Colin Gallant (130th). Returning are junior Mike LeDuc (7th NESCACs, 41st regionals, 8:59 fourth place steeplechase at Outdoor NCAAs/14:33 ninth place at Indoor NCAAs), seniors Tim Murtagh (69th regionals, 9:31 steeple/15:12) and Andrew Duarte (113th regionals,1:55/3:58/15:21), and soph Patrick Dermody (103rd regionals, 8:54/15:27). Seniors Tristan Cole, Matt Boudreau, Jeff Beling, Billy Martinsky, and Matt Gitkind, as well as  a large group of freshmen will look to add depth.

Colby - Nadeau 97

Coast Guard - Siperek 57, OBrien 92

The 2012 men’s team returns 2 of its top 7 runners from the 2011 season with Siperek, O’Brien, Hill, McCarthy, and Quinn graduating. Returning for CGA will be juniors Gary Ezzo (coming off missing indoor/outdoor last year from injury, 2011  - 8K – 26:14) and middle distance specialist Jordan Lee (800 – 1:56; 8K 26:54). Other key runners include juniors Ryan O’Neil (28:14) and Brad Pienta (28:09), as well as sophomores Joey O’Connell (2012 DIII Qualifier in the 10K – 32:41) and Stephen Horvath (2012 DIII Qualifier in the 9:42 steeple). Freshman that may supporting role include Ben Chapman, Park Suski, Kevin Petow, and Andrew Scheffey.

Westfield State University returns Anthony Frissora, Cameron Fairbanks,John Dacey,Tevin Honahan, Mike Kelleher, Reed Sutherland. Losses: Jonathan Joyce and Pat Regan. Newcomers: Pat Burns from Billerica, Justin Connolly from Walpole and Tim Shea from WestSpringfield

WPI - Smith-Horn

Scoring Losses: Lucas Smith-Horn (126th @ Regionals) Scoring Returners: Shane Ruddy (123th), Andrew Zayac (133rd), Rob Hollinger (136th), Scott Burger (138th), Dominic Gonzalez (156th), Josh Brodin (195th) Scoring Additions: Tobin Dancy (Fr. – Shrewsbury HS); Nick Papa (Fr. – Winter Park, FL); Thomas Kostelak (So. – Injured midway through ’11 season); Ryan Moran (So. – Never competed in ’11 due to injury) Season Outlook: WPI was a young team last year and that youth showed during the championship portion of the season but throughout the Track & Field season improvement was made and confidence grew, now the team enters this year with a goal of moving towards a top 12 finish at Regionals. The additions of Dancy and Papa, along with sophomores Kostelak and Moran who were injured last season, should not only bolster the team depth but also push everyone currently slotted ahead of them.
