Jeffs Post Strong Showing at Yale Invite|

NEW HAVEN, CT - The Amherst College women's golf team finished 11th among a host of Division I and regional powers at the Yale Fall Intercollegiate Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
Southern Methodist took the team title with a combined score of +62 (308-316-624), followed by the University of Hartford, Brown University, Rutgers and Yale.
First-year phenom Kathryn Kuchefsky (Wellesley, MA) led the Jeffs with an 84-90-174, good for 34th place. Meanwhile, junior Jaime Ratner (Liberty, NY) finished 52nd (95-88-183), sophomore Katie Gravel (Manchester, ME) finished 62nd (93-95-188), sophomore Kasarin Chakkaphak (New York, NY) placed 66th (99-91-190), while sophomore Jean Limpert (Bethesda, MD) finished 69th (91-104-195).
Hartford's Kristy Finlayson fired 72 on consecutive days to win the individual title by two strokes over teammate Katrina Lekovic.
The Amherst women's golf team returns to action on Saturday and Sunday at the Mt. Holyoke Invitational.
