Jeffs Take the Fast Track at ECAC Championships
March 3 - On March 3rd, the indoor track teams competed in the ECAC championships at the Boston University track. The track is renowned as one of the fastest in the nation, and the Lord Jeffs took advantage of the banked track to rack up the points. Full Story

Jeffs Excel at New Englands
February 3 - The Amherst men's and women's indoor track teams each saw action at the New England Open at Tufts and Boston University on Friday and Saturday. The women had a spectacular two-day performance at the new Tufts University track, with nearly every team member posting season a season or career-best time, while the men had similar success at B.U. Women Fifth, Men Seventh at Tufts Invitational
February 3 - The Amherst women finished fifth while the men placed seventh at the Tufts Invitational on Saturday, while both teams produced a bevy of outstanding individual performances. Sophomore middle-distance specialist Martha Nelson paced the women with a first place finish in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:26.17. On the men's side, John Stanton Geddes was the top Amherst finisher, placing fourth in the 1,000-meter run at 2:35.39. Full Story

Amherst Women 2nd, Men 3rd at Wesleyan Invitational
January 26 - Junior Molly Burnett and sophomores Pat Hayes and Laurel Kilgour each posted wins in individual events for the Amherst College women's and men's indoor track teams as the Jeffs finished second and third at the Wesleyan Invitational on Friday. Kilgour paced the Amherst women for the second consecutive meet, wining the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:42.48, while Burnett won at 3,000 meters with a time of 10:38.13. Hayes was the lone Amherst winner on the men's side, taking the 55-meter high hurdles with a time of 8.01. Full Story

Women Second, Men Fifth at Brandeis Invitational
January 20 - Seeing their first action since a season-opening outing at Tufts University on Dec. 9, the Amherst College men's and women's indoor track teams shook off 42 days of inactivity to each crack the top-five at the Brandeis Invitational on Saturday. Full Story

Jeffs Impressive in Season-Opener
December 9 - The Amherst men's and women's indoor track teams opened their seasons at the Tufts University Holiday Classic on Saturday morning. While no team results were recorded, a bevy of Jeffs, including sophomore middle-distance specialists Kate Hamill and Martha Nelson, turned in outstanding individual performances for fourth-year head coach Erik Nedeau.
