M-Hockey Ices Wentworth, 7-1 December 5 - Six different Amherst College men's ice hockey players scored, including a pair of goals from junior Dave Moore, as the Jeffs broke open a one-goal game with three second-period goals in a 7-1 victory at Wentworth on Tuesday night. Sophomore net minder Jaffrie Perrotti stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced en route to the victory, the Jeffs' sixth in a row. Full Story
Carr's Last-Second Heroics Lift Jeffs Over St. Anselm December 2 - For the second time in two days, the Amherst College men's ice hockey team needed late heroics, and for the second time in two days, it got them, as junior forward Greg Carr (Hanover, MA) scored with 12.7 seconds remaining to break a 2-2 tie between the Jeffs and the host Hawks of Saint Anselm's College. Orszulak's Goal Gives M-Hockey Fourth Straight December 1 - Senior Tri-captain Chris Orszulak broke a 3-3 tie 18:21 into the third period with his fourth goal of the season as the Amherst College men's hockey team came from behind to win its fourth straight, 5-3 at New England College on Friday night. Reaume Tabbed NESCAC Player of the Week November 27 - Junior right wing Darren Reaume led the Jeffs to a pair of wins over Trinity and Connecticut College in the Ben McCabe Memorial Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, earning Tournament MVP and New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for his effort. Amherst Trounces Conn. for McCabe Title November 26 - Junior forward Greg Carr broke a 3-3 tie with a power-play goal just over seven minutes into the second period and reserve goalie Justin Jagher held Connecticut College scoreless over the last 30 minutes as the host Jeffs downed the visiting Camels 7-3 in the championship game of the Ben McCabe Tournament at Orr Rink on Sunday. Jeffs Advance in McCabe Tourney With Win Over Trinity November 25 - The Jeffs downed Trinity 6-2 after Connecticut College manhandled Wesleyan University 7-2 in first-round action of the Ben McCabe Tournament at Orr Rink on Saturday. Amherst will host Conn. in the championship game Sunday at 4 p.m. after a 1 p.m. consolation game between Wesleyan and Trinity. Full Story
Jeffs Rebound with 9-1 Blowout Win Over Wesleyan November 18 - After dropping its season-opener 5-4 to Connecticut College on Friday night, Amherst College evened its men's hockey record to 1-1 with a 9-1 win over visiting NESCAC rival Wesleyan University (0-2/0-2) Saturday afternoon at Orr Rink. Opener November 17 - Connecticut College junior Matt Coleman scored a short-handed goal
with 9:50 remaining in the third period, lifting the visiting Camels to a wild 5-4 win over
host Amherst College in the 2000-01 opener for both teams on Friday night. Conn senior Pete
Helfer led the Camels to a 3-1 first-period lead with a natural hat trick, before the Jeffs
rallied to tie the game at three (and later at four), led by junior Darren Reaume, who

Jeffs Ready for Season-Opener November 16 - The Amherst men's hockey team begins a new campaign in a similar position to where it ended last season. The Jeffs, who finished fifth in the NESCAC with a 15-6-3 record a year ago, are once again picked to finish fifth in the conference behind Middlebury, Williams, Hamilton and Colby Colleges, heading into Friday night's season-opener against Conn.
