Jeffs Finish Second Behind Williams at the Little III Champtionships
For the third consecutive year, the Amherst College men's golf team finished second to Williams College at the Little III Championships, held Wednesday, May 2 at the Hickory Ridge Golf Club. Full Story

M-Golf Sixth at District One Shootout
April 29 - Amherst College sophomore Jude Volek (New York, NY) fired a two-round score of 80-78-158 to lead the men's golf team to sixth place finish at the District One Shootout at the Taconic Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. Williams College won the shootout with a 601 overall total, followed by Skidmore College (606), Babson College (628), Western New England College (634), Hamilton College (638) and Amherst (641). M-Golf Seventh at Skidmore
April 23 - The Amherst men's golf team shot a 326 and finished seventh at the 15th Annual Joseph C. Palamountain, Jr. Invitational Golf Tournament, hosted by Skidmore College at McGregor Links on Monday. Sophomore Jude Volek fired a 78 and finished in a six-way tie for ninth place to lead all Amherst scorers, while Amherst sophomore Steve Collins shot his best round of the season, finishing in a seven-way tie for 25th place with an 81. Jeffs Seventh in Spring Opener
April 19 - The Amherst College men's golf team opened its spring season with a seventh place showing at the 28th Annual Lou Flumere Massachusetts Intercollegiate Golf Championships, hosted by Bentley College at the Stow Acres Country Club on Thursday. The Jeffs shot a combined score of 328, just eight shots shy of eventual winner Boston College in the overall team standings. Full Story

M-Golf Set for Spring Swing
April 11 - The Amherst College men's golf team looks to pick up where it left off last fall as the 2001 spring season kicks into full gear. The Jeffs, under the guidance of head coach Jack Arena '83 and assistant coach E.J. Mills, will face four tournament challenges this spring, culminating with the Little III Championship on Wednesday, May 2. There, the squad hopes to avenge last year's narrow loss to the archrival Ephs of Williams College. Full Preview

Ballaban Tabbed M-Golf All-NESCAC
November 17 - Amherst College sophomore Todd Ballaban was named First-Team All-New England Small College Athletic Conference this week by virtue of his second place finish at the NESCAC Men's Golf Championship, held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 30 - Oct. 1 at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury, Vt. Jeffs Take 25th at NEIGA New Englands
October 24 - Sophomore Michael Blaisdel (South Strafford, VT) fired an 80-79-159 to lead the Amherst College men's golf team to a 25th place finish at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships at the Captain's Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday. Full Story

Amherst Second at NESCAC Championship
October 1 - Sophomore Todd Ballaban fired a 159 and finished just one stroke off the lead as the Amherst men's golf team tied host Middlebury College for second place in the NESCAC Championship Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course. Full Story

September 25 - The Amherst men's golf team placed ninth in a 21-team field at the Williams Invitational at the Taconic Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 23-24. Full Story

Jeffs Take Fourth at Skidmore Fall Classic
September 20 - The Amherst men's golf team shot a combined 312 on Wednesday to tie for fourth place overall at the Skidmore Fall Classic at McGregor Links. Full Story

Jeffs Swing Into Action at Duke Nelson
September 17 - The Amherst College men's golf team finished ninth at the season-opening Duke Nelson Tournament at Middlebury College on Friday and Saturday, just forty strokes back of eventual winner Skidmore College. Full Story
