Jeffs Shoot 15th-Place Finish at Dartmouth Invitational September 17, 2006 AMHERST, MA – The Amherst College women’s golf squad played well enough this weekend to finish 15th in a Dartmouth College Invitational field that included some of the Northeast’s most dominant programs. Harvard University won the tournament, played at the Hanover Country Club in Hanover, N.H. Tournament highlights included a career-best two-day total by senior co-captain Sarah Harper (Rochester, MN), who shot a 78-76-154, good enough for a ninth place individual finish. Three first-years shot low enough scores to count towards the Amherst point total on the day, including a top-50 finish for Kinne Schwartz (Allen, TX). Harvard stole the show this weekend, with four golfers in the top 10, including the individual first-place finisher, and a two-day team total of 599. Amherst returns to action on Saturday, when it kicks off a two-day stand at the Mount Holyoke Invitational in South Hadley. Amherst Individual Finishers |
