Jeffs Finish 5th at Williams Coed Invitational; Harper Places Second Individually

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The 2007 Williams College Coed Invitational Tournament wrapped up Sunday afternoon, with the host Ephs taking the women’s crown with a two-shot lead over second-place Middlebury College. The Amherst women placed fifth to fall right in the middle of the pack, while senior captain Sarah Harper (Rochester, MN) finished just one shot behind the leader to land in second place.

First-years Kinne Schwartz (Allen, TX) and Jordan Chafetz (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA) placed 8th and tied for 10th overall, respectively, to round out the Amherst golfers in the top 28. Williams’ Melissa Barton took home the individual title, while teammate Laura Koplik finished one shot behind Harper to land in third place.

The Lord Jeffs return to Williams next weekend for the Quad Classic, their last guaranteed match of the season.
