Amherst Names Justin Serpone as New Head of Men's Soccer
May 18 - Amherst College announced this afternoon that Justin Serpone, formerly of Duke University, will be the new Head Coach of the men's soccer team. Serpone is a native of Massachusetts, and will return to begin at Amherst July 1, 2007. Full Story

Amherst's Men's Soccer Coach Milton Gooding Accepts Head Position at M.I.T.
April 13 - Amherst College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology announced today that Amherst’s men’s soccer coach, Milton Gooding, has accepted the position of head soccer coach at M.I.T. Gooding, who has been at Amherst for 10 years, will join the coaching staff at M.I.T. in August. Full Story

November 17 - Of the 46 Amherst College Fall All-Academic recipients, 10 are members of the men’s soccer team, which ties with the Williams College women’s cross country team for most members representing a single team. Amherst Falls to WNEC in NCAA Second Round
November 12 - The Amherst College men's soccer side fell to visiting Western New England College this afternoon in a downpour, 1-0. The shutout ends the Lord Jeffs season, as they finish with a 13-3-1 record. Full Story

Amherst Advances with 3-1 Win Over Westfield State
November 11 - The Amherst College men's soccer team defeated Westfield State College 3-1 at Hitchcock Field in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Lord Jeffs were led by sophomore Jake Duker, who recorded two goals on the day. October 30 - On the heels of his stellar performance in the NESCAC Quarterfinals, sophomore goalie Jeff Grover was named the NESCAC Co-Player of the Week today. Grover turned away three Tufts penalty kicks after the double overtime thriller ended in a tie. Full Story

Jeffs Advance to NESCAC Semifinal on Penalty Kicks
October 29 - The Amherst College men's soccer team knotted up with Tufts University at three goals apiece after 90 minutes of regulation and two ten-minute sudden death periods, but advanced in the tournament after winning in penalty kicks, 3-2. Full Story

Amherst vs. Williams Game Rained Out
October 27 - The much anticipated match-up between Williams College and the Amherst College Lord Jeffs was cancelled due to rain this afternoon, which ultimately handed the regular season NESCAC title over to the Ephs. Amherst will play in an opening round NESCAC tournament match tomorrow at home. Their opponent will be announced later this evening.

September 16 - The Amherst men’s soccer team completed a come-from-behind victory over NESCAC rival Bates College on Saturday afternoon, besting the Bobcats 3-1. The Jeffs welcomed back their 2005 scoring leader and co-captain Mike Wohl ’07, who used his speed at forward to net the game-winner in the 58th minute. Full Story
