2006-07 Amherst Men's Hockey Milestones
TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Began the season 6-0-1
- Finished with a 14-10-1 overall record (10-8-1 ECAC East/NESCAC), qualifying for the NESCAC Championship Tournament
- Defeated Wesleyan University 2-0 in the NESCAC quarterfinals before falling to Bowdoin College, 6-3, in the semifinals
- Won the Ben McCabe Tournament at home, topping NESCAC rival Wesleyan University, 6-3, in the championship game.
- Defeated second-ranked Norwich University, 5-4, in their first meeting of the season
- Finished third in the NESCAC in scoring offense (3.72 goals per game) and fourth in combined special teams (51.9%) and power play percentage (23.9%)

- Nominated for prestigious Joe Concannon Award
- Finished tied for 10th in the NESCAC in goals (11), 11th in points (26) and assists (15), and 13th in power-play points (12)
Senior Defenseman Brandon Zangel (Highlands Ranch, CO)
- Tied for 13th in the NESCAC in power play goals (5)
Senior Goaltender Josh Fillman (Charlestown, MA)
- Named MVP of Ben McCabe Tournament
Sophomore Forward Kyle Schoppel (Cambridge, Ontario)
- Finished tied for sixth in the NESCAC for power play goals (6), 15th in points (23) and 16th in goals (10)
Sophomore Forward Joel Covelli (Carlisle, ON)
- First-Team All-NESCAC
- Named NESCAC Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 29
- Finish tied for second in the NESCAC for assists (24), third in points (35), eighth in power-play points (15) and 10th in goals (11)
Sophomore Defender Jeff Landers (Hanover, MA)
- Finished tied for second in the NESCAC in game-winning goals (3), fifth in defensemen scoring (22) and ninth in assists (17)

- Finished tied for second in the NESCAC in game-winning goals (3)
