Amherst Men's Hockey Coaching Staff
Head Coach Jack Arena '83 enters his 24th year at the Amherst helm with 272 career wins and eight ECAC Tournament appearances to his credit. His 1991-92 and 1995-96 teams captured the ECAC Championship for just the second and third times in school history, while his 1998-99 team finished with a 19-3 overall record en route to a first-ever NCAA Tournament berth and a No. 6 ranking in the final U.S. College Hockey Online National Poll. In 2000-01, Arena's Jeffs just missed a second NCAA Tournament berth, finishing 18-5-3 overall and advancing to the NESCAC Tournament Championship game. Arena was voted the ECAC East and New England Hockey Writers Association Coach of the Year in 1996 and was a standout hockey player at Amherst. He is the Jeffs' fourth all-time leading scorer, capping an outstanding playing career by being selected the Hoby Baker Award winner as the most outstanding collegiate player in the country. Arena also coaches men's golf at Amherst, leading the Jeffs to four NESCAC Championships during his tenure.

Assistant coach Darren Reaume '02 enters his third season on the Amherst bench following a stellar four-year playing career. After spending two seasons as a league all-star and team captain for the Great Falls Americans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), the Buffalo, N.Y. native went on to score 58 points in 98 collegiate games at Amherst, leading the Jeffs to a No. 6 national ranking and earning MVP honors at the Ben McCabe Tournament as a junior before captaining the team as a senior. Reaume also works in the college's Office of Admission.
