Jeffs Finish Sixth at NESCAC Championships October 2, 2006 BRUNSWICK, ME – Amherst College senior Drew Russ (Maui, HI) fired a two-day total of 78-77-155, tying for seventh individually and leading the Amherst men’s golf team to a sixth-place finish at the NESCAC Championships, hosted by Bowdoin College over the weekend. The Jeffs posted a solid two-day score of 316-320-636. Senior co-captain Sean Jules (Chicago, IL) followed Russ' lead with a 76-81-157 for 15th overall. First-year Adam Shniderman (Fort Lauderdale, FL) came in with a 77-82-159 19th place, and sophomore and Chris Valentine finished with an 87-80-167 for 34th place. Sophomore Glenn Wong (Leverett, MA) rounded out the Jeff scoring with an 85-92-177, good for 44th place. Middlebury and Trinity Colleges ended day two tied at 618; but Middlebury was able to come away with the crown because of the fifth score tiebreaker. Trinity College’s Reid Longley captured the individual win with a two-day score of 75-72-147. Amherst returns to action Sunday, Oct. 22 at the 72nd Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships on Cape Cod. AMHERST INDIVIDUAL RESULTS Drew Russ - 78-77-155 (T-7th)
