Jeffs Post 12th-Place Finish at Williams Invite September 25, 2006 WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Amherst College men’s golf team posted a 12th-place finish at the Williams Invitational, hosted by Williams College over the weekend. The Jeffs shot a two-day score of 310-302-612, led by sophomore Chris Valentine (Topsfield, MA), who came in with a two-day total of 77-81-158. Amherst rookie Adam Shniderman (Fort Lauderdale, FL) fired a two-day total of 85-74-159, while senior co-captain Andrew Bruns (Eaton, OH) shot a 78-84-162. Sophomore Will Collins (Edina, MN) and senior co-captain Sean Jules (Chicago, IL) rounded out the scoring for Amherst, shooting two-day totals of 83-80-163 and 84-79-163, respectively. Salem State topped the field with a 277-282-559, while the University of Rochester’s Stephen Goodridge captured medalist honors with a two-day score of 67-71-138. Amherst returns to action Saturday at the NESCAC Championships, hosted by Bowdoin College.
