Seventh-Seeded Jeffs Suffer 3-0 NESCAC Tournament
Quarterfinal Loss to Second-Seeded Tufts
November 4 - The seventh-seeded Amherst volleyball team suffered
a 3-0 loss to second-seeded Tufts University in the opening round of
the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament, hosted by top-seeded
Colby College on Friday night. Sophomore Jaclyn DeMais led the Jeffs
in defeat, tallying 14 kills and eight digs.

Jeffs Split at NESCAC Quad
October 30 - The Amherst College volleyball team secured the No.
7 seed in next weekend's NESCAC Tournament, to be hosted by top-seeded
Colby College, with a 1-1 showing at a NESCAC Quad, held at Wesleyan
University over the weekend. The Jeffs topped Wesleyan on Friday night,
23-20, 30-18, 30-11, 30-27, before falling to Connecticut College, 30-27,
32-30, 30-28, on Saturday afternoon. Full Story
Jeffs Outlast Trinity, 3-2
October 25 - The Amherst volleyball team outlasted host Trinity College for a 3-2 conference victory on Tuesday night, snapping a seven-match Bantam win streak and improving to 16-9 (5-3 NESCAC). Trinity fell to 16-9 (6-3 NESCAC) on the season. Full Story
Jeffs Upend Bridgewater State, 3-1, Fall to Colby, 3-2
October 22 - The Amherst College volleyball team downed Bridgewater State College, 3-1, on Saturday morning, before suffering a narrow 3-2 loss to Colby College in championship-bracket play at the Hall of Fame Volleyball Classic, hosted by Smith College. Full Story
Jeffs Top Endicott, 3-1, Suffer Narrow 3-2 Loss to MIT
October 21 - The Amherst volleyball team downed non-conference foe Endicott College, 3-1, on Friday night in pool play at the Hall of Fame Volleyball Classic, while MIT blanked Bates College, 30-22, 30-23, 30-21, in other pool play action. Amherst then suffered a narrow 3-2 loss to MIT in the second round of match-ups, while Endicott swept Bates, 30-24, 30-25, 30-17. Full Story
Jeffs Post 3-2 Comeback Victory Over Williams
October 18 - The Amherst College volleyball team rallied from a two-game deficit to deal visiting NESCAC archrival Williams College a 23-30, 25-30, 30-16, 30-27, 15-11 loss on Tuesday night. Sophomore standout Jaclyn DeMais sparked the comeback with a career-high 25 kills, 20 digs and a trio of service aces as the Jeffs ended an 11-match losing streak to the Ephs, dating back to 2001, and improved to 13-7 (4-3 NESCAC). Jeffs Rebound with 3-0 Win at Bates

16 - The Amherst volleyball team rebounded from Saturday's conference
loss at Tufts with a 30-21, 30-15, 30-28 NESCAC victory at Bates College
on Sunday. The Jeffs moved to 12-7 overall and 3-3 in conference play,

October 15 - The Amherst volleyball team suffered a 30-24, 30-27, 28-30, 30-24 loss at NESCAC rival Tufts University on Saturday afternoon. The Jeffs fell to 11-7 (2-3 NESCAC) on the season, while the Jumbos improved to 18-3 (5-1). Full Story
Jeffs Dominate Westfield State, 3-0
October 11 - The Amherst volleyball team displayed a dominating
performance on Tuesday night, pounding visiting non-conference foe Westfield
State College, 30-20, 30-18, 30-15. Junior Kristin Quinn paced the assault,
posting 15 kills and a .333 hitting percentage as the Jeffs improved

Jeffs Top Wheaton, Trinity; Wesleyan Wins Wesleyan Invite

The Amherst volleyball team rebounded from a 3-0 loss to eventual champion Wesleyan University on Friday night to defeat non-conference foe Wheaton College and NESCAC rival Trinity College on Saturday in Wesleyan Invitational action. Senior tri-captain Kate Raddock and junior Kristin Quinn earned All-Tournament honors for their strong performances in the two-day event. Full Story

September 28 - The Amherst volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss against visiting Smith College on Wednesday night. The Jeffs drop to 7-4 on the season, while the Pioneers improve to 11-2. Junior Kristin Quinn led Amherst, posting 15 kills, eight digs and two blocks. Full Story
Jeffs Sweep Trinity, Brandeis; Middlebury Wins Volleyball Classic
September 24 - The Amherst volleyball team cruised past NESCAC rival Trinity College, 3-0 on Saturday morning and kept up the strong play in the afternoon session, defeating non-conference foe Brandeis University in straight games as well. Middlebury College outlasted Brandeis, 3-2 in the morning session, before falling to Trinity, 3-2 in the afternoon, to take home the championship trophy in Day Two action at the Amherst Volleyball Classic. Jeffs Sweep Bowdoin, Edged by Colby at NESCAC Quad
September 17 - The Amherst volleyball team
blanked NESCAC rival Bowdoin College on Friday night in a NESCAC Quad
at Colby College, before falling to the host Mules on Saturday morning,
3-2. The Jeffs moved to 5-2 (1-1 NESCAC) on the season, while Colby
remained undefeated at 7-0 (2-0 NESCAC) and Bowdoin fell to 4-2 (0-2

The Amherst volleyball team blanked visiting non-conference opponent
Keene State College, 30-18, 30-18, 30-10, on Wednesday night, improving to 4-1

Jeffs Open Season 3-1, Finish Second at WNEC Invitational
September 10 -
The Amherst volleyball team posted a second-place finish at the Western
New England College (WNEC) Invitational on Friday and Saturday, blanking Westfield
State College, Plymouth State University and Framingham State College in the
first three rounds before falling to Plymouth St. in the championship game.
First-year setter Sara Heller led the way

Volleyball Eyes 13th Straight Postseason Appearance
September 7 - The Amherst volleyball team, led by senior tri-captains Sara Bruggeman,
Natalie Soud and Kate Raddock, looks to secure its 13th straight trip to the
postseason after nabbing the No. 3 seed in last year's NESCAC Tournament with
a 23-7 record. Junior Kristin Quinn and sophomore Jaclyn DeMais also return
to a powerful front line as the Jeffs open their season Friday Sept. 9 at the
