June 15 - Amherst senior tri-captain Kristen Raverta and sophomore Alicia Menezes were both named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women’s Tennis All-America team. Full Story

May 23 - After being named the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Senior Player of the Year on Friday, Amherst senior tri-captain Kristen Raverta finished as the national runner-up in the NCAA Division III women’s tennis singles tournament championship, hosted by the University of California at Santa Cruz Saturday through Tuesday. Jeffs Bow Out of NCAA Division III Tournament with 5-2 Quarterfinal Loss to Trinity
May 17 - The Amherst women’s tennis team bowed out of the NCAA Division III Tournament with a 5-2 quarterfinal loss to Trinity University at the University of California at Santa Cruz on Wednesday evening. Amherst's Raverta Named NESCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Year
May 9 - Amherst senior tri-captain Kristen Raverta was named the 2006 NESCAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year on Tuesday.  Raverta guided Amherst to its third consecutive conference crown as the Jeffs bested Williams, 6-3, in the NESCAC Tournament Championship Match. Full Story

May 3 - The eighth-ranked Amherst women’s tennis team earned its 12th straight trip to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament on Monday, securing a first-round bye and the right to host the regional matchups. April 29 - The third-ranked and top-seeded Amherst College women’s tennis cruised by fourth-seeded Bowdoin College, 8-1, in the women’s tennis NESCAC Semifinals on Saturday morning. March 25 - The Amherst women's tennis team finished up play at the 2006 Fab Five Tournament, hosted by Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va., crushing Carnegie Mellon University on Friday, 8-1, before suffering a 5-3 upset loss to Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday. Full Story

Jeffs Win New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament
October 16 - The Amherst women's tennis team captured three-of-six singles flights and two-of-three doubles flights as they won the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament, held at Mt. Holyoke College over the weekend. The Jeffs posted a team score of 41 points, besting second-place Williams College by 10 points. Full Story

October 8 - The Amherst women's tennis team closed out its fall dual-match slate on Saturday with a 6-3 victory at Williams College. The Jeffs swept all three doubles tilts and took the top three singles matches to clinch the victory and improved to 4-0, while Williams dropped to 3-1. Full Story

October 2 - The Amherst women's tennis team posted a pair of home victories on Sunday, defeating Bowdoin, 8-1, and crushing Colby College, 9-0. The Jeffs remained undefeated, moving to 3-0 on the year, while Bowdoin and Colby both fell to 1-2. Full Story

Raverta and Menezes Win Doubles Championship at New England Wilson/ITA Tournament; Raverta Reaches Singles Final
September 25 - Amherst senior co-captain Kristen Raverta teamed with sophomore Alicia Menezes to win the doubles title at the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Women's Tennis Championships, hosted by Bowdoin College over the weekend. Raverta also reached the final of the singles draw, where she fell to Middlebury College's top-seeded Amy Roche. Full Story

September 14 - The Amherst women's tennis team opened its season with a 9-0 shutout victory at Wesleyan University on Wednesday. The Jeffs swept every match in both singles and doubles play, including a 6-0, 6-0 win by Amherst junior Katie Hudson over Wesleyan's Madalina Ursu at No. 4 singles. Full Story

Perennial Power Women's Tennis Seeks Fourth Consecutive Trip to NCAA Final Four
September 12 - The Amherst women's tennis team posted yet another unbelievable season in 2004-05, finishing third at the NCAA Championships last spring with a final record of 12-3.
