Amherst Women's Hockey Assistants
A native of Burnsville, Minnesota, assistant coach Melanie Ruzzi joins the Amherst staff after serving as a coach in the Massachusetts Spitfires youth hockey organization for the past two years. A 2003 graduate of Providence College, Ruzzi played four years as a defenseman, helping lead the Friars to an ECAC East Championship in 2002 and a Hockey East Regular Season Championship and Hockey East Tournament Championship in 2003. Ruzzi is currently working toward a master's degree in sport management at UMass Amherst.
