May 16 - Amherst first-year women’s ice hockey forward Tarasai Karega earned a 2006 NCAA Division III Statistical Champion Award on Monday after leading the nation in power-play goals this season. February 17 - The Amherst women’s hockey team clinched its fifth straight NESCAC Tournament bid with a 3-0 shutout victory over visiting Connecticut College on Friday night. The Jeffs (10-13/6-10 NESCAC) secured the No. 6 seed in the tournament and earn the right to face third-seeded archrival Williams College in the opening round, scheduled for next Saturday, February 25. opponent in program history as they improved to 5-7 overall, while UW-River
