Amherst's Harper Fourth at NESCAC Championships

MIDDLEBURY, VT - Amherst College junior co-captain Sarah Harper (Rochester, MN) fired a two-day total of 81-81-162 to place fourth at the 2005 NESCAC Women's Invitational Golf Tournament, hosted by Middlebury College over the weekend. Harper finished just eight strokes back of individual medalist Kara Solem of Mount Holyoke College.

Amherst senior Melissa Sidman (Bethesda, MD) nabbed a 24 th-place finish with a two-day total of 96-90-186, while sophomore Kristin Beneski (Colleyville, TX) tied for 28th with a 95-100-195. The Jeffs, however, could not field enough players to post a team score.

Amherst returns to action next Saturday at the NESCAC Championships, hosted by Middlebury College.
