Jeffs 13th at Mount Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, MA - The Amherst College women's golf team finished 13th at the Mount Holyoke Invitational, played at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. over the weekend. The Jeffs shot a two-day score of 397-379-776, led by junior co-captain Sarah Harper (Rochester, MN), who fired an 88-87-176 to tie for 27th overall.

Amherst sophomore Ali Berman (Boca Raton, FL) tied for 38th with a two-day total of 94-89-183, while sophomore Kristin Beneski (Colleyville, TX) posted a 66th-place finish with a 104-102-206, and seniors Melissa Sidman (Bethesda, MD) and Cally Wheeler (Gloucester, MA) placed 69th and 77th with scores of 110-101-211 and 116-128-244, respectively.

Wellesley College topped the field with a 340-336-676, led by individual medalist Susan Choi, who fired a 78-75-153.

The Jeffs return to action next Saturday at the NESCAC Championships, hosted by Middlebury College.
