Amherst Comes Up Short At Mount Holyoke, 62-55November 22, 2005 FROM A MOUNT HOLYOKE COLLEGE RELEASE The game saw 15 lead changes and Mount Holyoke only pulled away late in the game, with the help of 22-for-31 shooting from the charity stripe. Amherst led at the half, but poor shooting outside the arc put the game out of reach. Sophomore Shaina Pollack (Great Neck, NY) led the Jeffs with 11 points and a trio of steals, while senior co-captain Katie Latham (Wakefield, MA) led all players with nine boards. Senior co-captain Krissy Morin (Litchfield, NH) chipped in 10 points, and junior Jenny Muller (Andover, MA) added nine scores. Next up for the Jeffs, Keene State travels to LeFrak Gymnasium on November 30 for a 7 p.m. tip-off. |
