November 19 - Amherst sophomore Tomas Morrissey finished 19th overall in the men's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, while classmate Kim Partee led the Amherst women's team to a seventh-place team showing. Full Story
Women's Cross Country Takes Third at NCAA Regionals, Men Place 11th
November 14 - Led by strong showings from junior Shauneen Garrahan and sophomore Tomas Morrissey, the women's and men's cross country teams took home third and 11th place, respectively. The women's team, and Morrissey individually, qualify for NCAA Regionals on November 19th. Full Story

October 31 - The Amherst College women's cross country team finished second, while the men's team came in eighth at the 23rd-Annual NESCAC Cross Country Championships, hosted by Wesleyan University on Saturday. Junior All-America Shauneen Garrahan led the women in the 5k race, finishing second overall with a time of 17:57.9, while sophomore Tomas Morrissey paced the men in the 8k race, posting an 11th-place finish in 26:13.1. October 24 - The Amherst women's cross country team finished second, while the men's team came in third at the Little Three Championships, hosted by Williams College on Saturday. Junior All-America Shauneen Garrahan led the women in the 5k race, finishing second overall with a time of 18:03, while junior Rich Wilson paced the men in the 8k race, posting a 14th-place finish in 27:02. Amherst Women First, Men Second at Season-Opening Amherst Cross Country Invitational
September 10 -
Junior All-America Shauneen Garrahan captured her first victory of the season to lead the Amherst women's cross country contingent to its third straight Amherst Invitational team title on Saturday. The Amherst women completed a near-sweep by capturing five of the first six places, as they bested second-place Bates College by over 30 points. Meanwhile, the Amherst men, led by sophomore sensations Tomas Morrissey and Mike Harbus, placed second, just eight points behind team champion Bates. Full Story
Hamill, Morgan Named Academic All-District, Finalists for Academic All-America
June 6 - Amherst women's track and cross country co-captain Carter Hamill and men's track co-captain Jack Morgan were each named First-Team ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-District I by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). As first-team selections, Hamill and Morgan - both seniors - now move on to the national ballot for CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America consideration. Full Story
