Jeffs Fall To Middlebury, 4-0, In NCAA Regional Final

MIDDLEBURY, VT – The Amherst men’s tennis team closed out their season with a 4-0 NCAA Regional Final loss to host Middlebury College Sunday afternoon. The Jeffs finish the year at 14-8, while Middlebury moves on to the National Quarterfinals, hosted by the University of Mary Washington.

The Panthers jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead with a pair of convincing doubles wins and then went on to secure the win with victories at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 singles. Senior Jon Godsall (Toronto, Canada) had split sets with Middlebury’s Alex Scott and was up 1-0 in the third before the game was called.
