Jeffs Post 19th-Place Finish at Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Amherst College men’s golf team posted a 19th-place finish at the Williams Invitational, hosted by Williams College over the weekend. The Jeffs shot a two-day score of 324-326-650, led by junior Sean Jules (Chicago, IL), who fired an 77-81-158 to tie for 51st overall.

Amherst senior Andy Bruns (Eaton, OH) tied for 56th with a two-day total of 81-78-159, while junior Drew Russ (Maui, HI) tied for 86th with a 79-85-164. Sophomore Jesse Corradi (Cold Spring, NY) and rookie Chris Valentine (Topsfield, MA) rounded out the scoring for Amherst, shooting two-day totals of 87-82-169 and 90-86-176 to tie for 101st and 117th, respectively.

Skidmore College topped the field with a 295-299-594, while UMass-Dartmouth’s Mike Morgan (Dartmouth, MA) captured medalist honors with a two-day score of 68-73-141.

Amherst returns to action Saturday at the NESCAC Championships, hosted by Williams College.
