Jeffs Tie Ninth at Williams Spring Opener

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Amherst College men's golf team tied for ninth place at the Williams Spring Opener, played at the Taconic Golf Course on Saturday afternoon. Rookie Will Collins (Edina, MN) headed the Jeff lineup with a round of 84, good for 38th place.

Junior Sean Jules (Chicago, IL) and first-year Glenn Wong (Leverett, MA) followed Collins closely with matching rounds of 85, while sophomore Jesse Corradi (Cold Spring, NY) and senior co-captain David Litt (Bethesda, MD) rounded out the team play, firing an 87 and 88, respectively.

Skidmore College took the team title, edging host Williams by just three strokes with a round of 311. Trinity College’s Alex MacColl brought home medalist honors with a low round of 73.

Amherst wraps up its spring slate on Wednesday at the Little Three Championships at Wesleyan University.
