Jeffs Tie For 10th At 20th Annual Palamountain Intercollegiate Tournament

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – The Amherst College men’s golf team opened its spring slate with a tie for tenth-place at the 20th Annual Palamountain Intercollegiate Golf Tournament on Sunday and Monday. The team shot a two-day score of 327-345-672 to tie with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the 10th place finish.

Amherst junior Andy Bruns (Eaton, OH) led the Jeffs, shooting 81-81-163 to tie for 29th place, while classmate Drew Russ (Maui, HI) tied for 38th with a two-day total of 81-86-167. Junior Sean Jules (Chicago, IL) earned a tie for 48th place with his 86-84-170 two-day total, while senior co-captain Keith Zalaski (Simsbury, CT) shot 90-93-183.

Salem State College topped the field with a 295-301-591 two-day performance, while Skidmore College’s Mike Stiller took home individual medalist honors, firing a 69-72-141.
