March 13 - For the second time in the last three seasons, the Amherst men’s basketball team heads to the NCAA Division III Tournament Final Four, where the Jeffs will face off with Wittenberg University (29-3) this Friday at 6 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va., with a berth in the National Championship game at stake. Amherst moved on to the National Semifinals with a lopsided 93-70 victory over visiting St. John Fisher College, while the Tigers advanced with a 74-61 win over visiting Transylvania University. March 10 - In one of the most memorable games in the history of Amherst men’s basketball, the Jeffs stole a 90-85 overtime thriller from familiar foe Tufts University in the NCAA Division III Tournament Round of 16 on Friday night. Tickets Now On Sale For NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Sectional at Amherst
March 6 - As one of four schools to host an NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Sectional this Friday and Saturday, Amherst College will be selling tickets for the games all this week. Presale tickets will be available in the Amherst Athletics Center Tuesday-Thursday from 2-4 p.m., and doors will open on Friday and Saturday 90 minutes prior to gametime. Tickets will be $7 for adults and $4 for children, senior citizens and students with valid ID (children under 2 are free). No telephone or e-mail orders will be accepted. More Information

Jeffs to Host Second Straight NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Sectional
March 5 - Amherst was announced as one of four schools to host an NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Sectional on Sunday and will welcome Tufts University, Utica College and St. John Fisher College for the Round of 16 and the national quarterfinals on Friday and Saturday. Utica and St. John Fisher square off in Friday’s first game at 6 p.m., with the Amherst vs. Tufts contest to follow at 8 p.m. This marks the fifth straight season the Jeffs have reached the Round of 16 and the second straight year they will host the proceedings. March 1 - Amherst men's basketball senior co-captain John Bedford was named First-Team All-NESCAC for the second consecutive season on Wednesday, while junior forward Dan Wheeler and sophomore guard Andrew Olson grabbed second-team honors for the first time in their careers.
