Harmeling, Montigny Named NSCAA/adidas All-New England
December 13 - Amherst seniors Ashley Harmeling and Tracy Montigny were each named adidas All-New-England by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Monday. Harmeling was a first-team selection, while Montigny earned third-team honors. Full Story
Harmeling Named NEWISA All-New England
December 6 - Amherst senior tri-captain Ashley Harmeling was named Third-Team New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-New England recently. A First-Team All-NESCAC selection for the second straight season, Harmeling led the Jeffs in scoring with six goals and an assist despite missing the first four games due to injury. Full Story

November 12 - Amherst seniors Ashley Harmeling and Tracy Montigny were each named First-Team Women’s Soccer All-NESCAC on Friday. Harmeling finished sixth in the conference in goals (0.55/gm.) and seventh in scoring (1.18 pts./gm.), while Montigny tied for sixth in assists (0.33/gm.). Full Story
Harmeling Named Second-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District
November 4 - Amherst senior tri-captain Ashley Harmeling was one of four players from the NESCAC named Academic All-District 1 (college division) for women’s soccer, as selected and announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. Harmeling joins conference-mates Christa Thoeresz of Connecticut College and Becky Greenstein of Tufts University on the Academic All-District Second Team. Williams College’s Elise Henson rounds out the list of NESCAC recipients as a third-team selection. Full Story
Second-Seeded Jeffs Upset by Seventh-Seeded Conn. College in NESCAC Tournament Quarterfinal
October 31 - Connecticut College rookie forward Lucy Strong scored a controversial goal with 5:08 left in regulation to lead the visiting seventh-seeded Camels to a dramatic 1-0 upset victory over second-seeded defending conference champion Amherst in the opening round of the NESCAC Women’s Soccer Tournament on Sunday. It was the first time in the tournament’s five-year history a No. 7 seed has knocked off a No. 2. Full Story
Muller Notches Game Winner as 21st-Ranked Jeffs Clinch No. 2 Seed in NESCAC Tourney with 1-0 Win Over Williams
October 30 - Sophomore Jenny Muller tallied the game winner in the 69th minute as the Amherst women’s soccer team claimed sole possession of the Little Three title and clinched the No. 2 seed and a first-round home game in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament with a 1-0 win over visiting conference and Little Three rival Williams College on Saturday. The defending NESCAC Champion Jeffs (9-1-4/6-0-3 NESCAC), who extended their winning streak to six games and stretched their unbeaten streak to nine games, open postseason play tomorrow (Sunday) at 12:30 p.m. against visiting seventh-seeded Connecticut College. 21st-Ranked Jeffs Upend Rhode Island College, 3-1
October 26 - The Amherst women’s soccer team, ranked 21st in the nation and third in New England, upended non-conference host Rhode Island College (RIC) on Tuesday, 3-1. Senior tri-captain Ashley Harmeling tallied a pair of scores and classmate Adrienne Showler had a goal and an assist as the Jeffs won their fourth straight, improving to 8-1-4. Full Story
Jeffs Improve Conference Mark to 5-0-3, Blank Wesleyan, 3-0
October 23 - The Amherst women’s soccer team improved to 7-1-4 overall and remained undefeated in conference play at 5-0-3 with a 3-0 shutout victory at NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan University on Saturday. Senior tri-captain Leslie Curren scored her second straight game-winner and dealt an assist, while classmates Ashley Harmeling and Lee-Jay Henry found the net for the Jeffs as well. Full Story
