2003-04 Amherst Men's Hockey Milestones
TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Finished with an 11-11-3 overall record (6-10-2 NESCAC), qualifying for the seventh seed in the eight-team NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament, where they fell at second-seeded Trinity College, 3-0, in the quarterfinals.
- Won the Ben McCabe Invitational Tournament (hosted by Amherst) with victories over SUNY Cortland and Trinity College.
INDIVIDUAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Senior Defenseman Chris Norqual (Eden Prairie, MN)
- Tied for 10th in the NESCAC in defenseman scoring (15 points), tied for 22nd in assists (14).
Junior Co-Captain Forward Beau Kretzman (Edina, MN)
- Second-Team All-NESCAC.
- NESCAC Winter All-Academic.
- MVP of the Ben McCabe Invitational Tournament.
- NESCAC Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 30, after earning MVP honors at the Ben McCabe Invitational Tournament, leading the then undefeated Jeffs to a pair of wins over SUNY Cortland and Trinity College. Kretzman had two goals and an assist in a 6-5 come-from-behind win over Cortland and assisted on the game-winner in a 2-1 overtime victory over Trinity. He added a pair of goals, including the game-winner, in a 4-2 home win over previously undefeated Wentworth earlier in the week.
- Tied for 17th in the nation in short-handed goals (2).
- Tied for seventh in the NESCAC in short-handed goals (2), tied for 10th in short-handed points (3), tied for 11th in goals (13) and power-play points (10), tied for 13th in scoring (27 pts.), tied for 15th in power-play goals (4) and tied for 22nd in assists (14).

- Tied for 12th in the NESCAC in game-winning goals (2).
Junior Forward Scott Aldrich (Wilmington, MA)
- Tied for 12th in the NESCAC in game-winning goals (2).
Sophomore Forward Steve Nelson (Wayzata, MN)
- Tied for 22nd in the NESCAC in assists (14).
Sophomore Forward A.J. Greco (Williamsville, NY)
- Tied for 12th in the NESCAC in game-winning goals (2), tied for 14th in short-handed points (2), tied for 15th in power-play goals (4).
First-Year Defenseman Brandon Zangel (Highlands Ranch, CO)
- Tied for 19th in the NESCAC in freshman scoring (10 pts), 21st in defenseman scoring (10 pts.).
First-Year Defenseman Trevor Calamel (Lockport, NY)
- Tied for 22nd in the NESCAC in defenseman scoring (9 pts.).
First-Year Forward Sean Ellis (Springfield, MA)
- Tied for 19th in the NESCAC in freshman scoring (10 pts).
