Litt Leads Jeffs to Season-Opening Sixth-Place Showing at Lou Flumere Invitational

STOW, MA - Junior David Litt (Bethesda, MD) shot a season-opening round of 74 and finished second individually to lead the Amherst College menís golf team to a sixth-place showing at the 32nd-Annual Lou Flumere Invitational, hosted by Bentley College at the Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, Mass. on Thursday.

The Jeffs tied for sixth with Holy Cross with a team score of 321, while Salem State captured the team title with a 308. Amherst senior captain Justin Sharaf (Danvers, MA) followed Litt with a 78, good for 13th place, and sophomore Sean Jules (Chicago, IL) fired an 83, finishing 51st. Junior Keith Zalaski (Simsbury, CT) shot an 86, and rookie Judd Olanoff (New York, NY) capped Amherstís scoring with an 89.

Salem Stateís Matt Baran captured medallist honors with an even-par round of 72.

Amherst returns to action Sunday at the Palamountain Invitational, hosted by Skidmore College.
